Getting Started | Equipment 101
This guide will help you prepare your devices for a successful session using FloreoVR for iOS.

 

Follow this Getting Started guide to understand the device requirements and preparation for using Floreo. By the end of the guide you will know how to:

  • Set up your iPhone, iPad and VR headset
  • Login to Floreo on your devices and prepare the devices for your first session
Prepare your devices for Floreo

1) Ensure that your iOS devices are using iOS 15+

To check your iOS version, from the device select Settings > General > About.

To update your iOS version, from the device select Settings > General > Software Update. Select Download and Install or Install. This process can take a long time. Ensure that your devices are connected to power while the update downloads and/or installs.

2) Prepare your VR headset for first use
For VR headsets not purchased from Floreo, please refer to your manufacturer's recommended preparation and usage instructions.

Remove the Floreo headset from the protective case and remove the safety plastic from the back of the lenses. The Floreo headset collapses for easy storage, to use the headset with a Learner, pull the silicone section all the way out (you will see the two IPD adjustment buttons on top if you have pulled the headset out enough)

Thread the provided strap through the strap holders and adjust to fit the Learner's head comfortably.

Assist the Learner with adjusting the IPD. Move the adjustment buttons on the top of the headset until the image on the iPhone viewed through the headset is clear to the Learner.

The Floreo headset can be comfortably worn with or without eyewear.

 

3) Prepare your iPad and iPhone devices for first use

Connect your iPad to your preferred wireless network. Open the FloreoVR app and click Sign In. Log in with your Floreo username and password. If you have forgotten your password, click "Reset my password" under the Sign In button and follow the instructions in the email that is sent to you.

Connect your iPhone to your preferred wireless network. This can be different from the network used by your iPad. Open the FloreoVR app and follow the same sign in instructions as the iPad above. If you reset your password on the iPad in step 1, there is no need to reset it again at this stage. *Please note, if you are using Floreo for telehealth, the username and password you use to log in to Floreo on the iPad and iPhone may be different.*
