Getting Started | Floreo Setup

This guide will help you create your learners and understand the supervised experience of FloreoVR

Follow this Getting Started guide to understand the device requirements and preparation for FloreoVR. By the end of the guide you will know how to:

Create your Learners
Successfully start your first Floreo session

Floreo Terminology

Coach - The Coach leads the Learner through the Floreo lessons while using the iPad to facilitate the session

Learner - The Learner experiences Floreo’s immersive lessons using the iPhone and mobile VR headset

Guide - In a Telehealth situation, the Guide assists the Learner from their location. A Guide could be a family member, caregiver, or other individual who is in the same location as the Learner during a Telehealth session

Creating Learners

1) Ensure that your iOS devices are prepared and ready for use

Use this guide for Getting Started | Equipment 101 if your devices are not yet prepared for use.

2) Create a new Learner

For this step, we’re going to create a Learner on your iPad. To learn how to do this, you can read through the steps below, or watch this video tutorial.

After successful Log in on your iPad, select Add Learner
Select an avatar for your Learner and proceed to the next screen
Input the Learner's nickname, month and year of birth
Read, understand, and acknowledge the Heath and Safety information
Choose the Learner's current Language Level
Provide information on any known diagnoses for your Learner

3) Complete the Learner Questionnaire for a personalized Floreo experience

Using a 1 - 5 scale, please answer the questions to the best of your knowledge. These questions were customized based on the details you provided about your Learner. These questions can be answered at anytime, however, Floreo recommends completion at this time to create a personalized recommendation immediately upon the creation of your Learner.

4) Starting your Floreo session

Start the FloreoVR app on your Learner's device, the iPhone. If not already logged in, log in to the app using the same login credentials as your Coach's device, the iPad (except in the case of telehealth sessions).

Select the nickname that represents your current Learner if your account support multiple Learners per Coach.

Check that your iPad references the same Learner at the top of the screen

Select the lesson on your iPad from the Floreo catalog of lessons, or choose the Next Recommended Lesson at the top of the screen. Press Play on the lesson description page.

The iPad starts a connection to the iPhone to create the Floreo experience. Please be patient as the connection is being created.

As soon as the lesson starts on both devices, place the iPhone into the headset and adjust the headset for fit on the Learner.

Press Start Lesson on the iPad and enjoy your first Floreo lesson!

In just a few steps you created a new Learner, unlocked custom recommendations for your Learner and started your first Floreo session.
